Football
The football club has been in existence for over 35 years, although not always playing under the name of the Men's Club (started as Plumbers Arms, and have also been The Nelson and Toby's). Whether involved in Saturday or Sunday football, the team has enjoyed a great deal of success, always competing in the top divisions. Our home of the last 15 years or so is Wingfields, Highcliffe.
After playing on Sundays for the last decade, we have re-entered the Bournemouth Football Association Saturday leagues and after two consecutive seasons involving promotion and a title win we are now playing in Division 2 and progressing well with the real possibility of more promotion if we can continue some good early season form.
The management team of Clive Sansom and Gavin Fayer have put together a very formidable squad. This is backed up by a very competent and willing committee which enables the football club to run smoothly and enables the management team to concentrate solely on the football side of things (and a good job too !).
